2024 Fishing with Firefighters

Grab the kids and join us for a “fin-tastic” day of fishing and fun at the 2nd Annual Fishing with Firefighters, a FREE fishing event for kids! This exciting event is casting the net to bring smiles to young faces and create unforgettable memories.
DATE: Saturday, August 17, 2024
TIME: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Due to the size of the lake limiting how many children can fish safely, each of the following time slots is open to the first 100 children. Registrations are first-come-first-serve, so don’t wait to sign up. Once the time slot is full, it’s closed for future registrations.
- 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Woodlands Sports Park, 1 Woodlands Pkwy, St. Peters, MO
REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
This event is a two-step registration process:
- CLICK HERE to sign the event’s release waiver. This step is required by all participants. If you don’t sign online prior to 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, you will be asked to sign in person as you arrive.
- CLICK HERE to register your children for your desired time slot.
Grab your fishing gear and prepare for an unforgettable adventure on the water. This FREE fishing derby is exclusively designed for children from ages 0 to 15, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience the joys of fishing in a safe and supportive environment. The pond will be stocked with over 400 catfish just for this event.
Your professional firefighters will be on hand to ensure everyone’s safety and provide guidance and assistance to budding anglers throughout the event. From casting techniques to knot tying, we’ll share our expertise and passion for fishing, helping your youngsters learn valuable skills while having a blast.
But that’s not all! Beyond the thrill of fishing, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy, including a bounce house, snacks, refreshments and BBQ throughout the day, ensuring your young anglers stay energized and hydrated during their fishing adventures.
