For several years now, CCFR Community Outreach has participated in the Big Kahuna Bartender Challenge, a fundraiser to support Community Living. Serving over 1,100 children, adults, and their families, Community Living is a local non-profit that works to enrich the lives of people with disabilities so they can achieve their highest potential. Check them out at www.communitylivingmo.org
Every Christmas, the CCFR Community Outreach supports area children by serving as a collection point for community donations of Christmas presents. Every year, Santa makes a visit to the firehouse. By appointment only, a limited number of parents can bring donated gifts and receive a personalized visit with Santa for their children. Off-duty firefighters staff this event.
F.A.S.T. provides support and resources for families of children in foster care in St. Charles county, and we partner with a local business - Permanent Vacation Tattoo - to provide an estimated $6,000 in toys every year. No child should have to go without a coat! Working with the elementary schools in our fire district to identify children in need of cold-weather clothing, we meet the need…no matter the number of kids needing help.
