For several years now, CCFR Community Outreach has participated in the Big Kahuna Bartender Challenge, a fundraiser to support Community Living. Serving over 1,100 children, adults, and their families, Community Living is a local non-profit that works to enrich the lives of people with disabilities so they can achieve their highest potential. Every Christmas, we support area children by serving as a collection point for community donations of Christmas presents. In addition to the Toys-for-Tats event where we collect toys, Santa makes a visit to the firehouse for pictures and a visit with children and their families. We accept new, unwrapped toys to be donated to the Foster Adoption Support Team (FAST). Fast supports over 300 foster/adoptive children throughout St. Charles county. We also adopt area families, providing Christmas presents for the the children and a meal for the family for Christmas day. To support this cause with a financial donation, please donate below.
F.A.S.T. provides support and resources for families of children in foster care in St. Charles county, and we partner with a local business - Permanent Vacation Tattoo - to provide an estimated $6,000 in toys every year. No child should have to go without a coat! Working with the elementary schools in our fire district to identify children in need of cold-weather clothing, we meet the need…no matter the number of kids needing help.
